Coordinated Career Pathways is a time limited Regional Center service designed to support individuals who want to move toward employment or post secondary outcomes but need guidance, structure, and clear next steps.
Why Coordinated Career Pathways Exists
Many individuals want to work but feel unsure about what type of job fits, how to move forward, or how to create a realistic plan. Coordinated Career Pathways exists to reduce that uncertainty by providing individualized guidance so informed decisions can be made with confidence.
Who Coordinated Career Pathways Can Support
Coordinated Career Pathways may be appropriate for individuals who:
- Want a job but are unsure what kind of work fits
- Have a job goal and need help creating a plan
- Benefit from a more personalized approach to employment planning
Eligibility Overview
To qualify, an individual must be a DDS consumer and meet at least one eligibility requirement:
- Within two years of exiting secondary education
- In or transitioning from a subminimum wage setting
- Exited a Work Activity Program within the last five years
How Services Are Delivered
Coordinated Career Pathways is provided through two coordinated roles:
Career Pathway Navigator
Leads planning, goal clarification, and family support.
Customized Employment Specialist
Provides discovery and job development when a more individualized employment approach is needed.
